Grocery Store Hacks

One of the biggest things I hear is what do I buy?! I want to eat healthy, but no idea where to start! We have information overload and too much info is like not enough info! It gets noisy and confusing and what happens?! We do nothing!!

Here are a few tips for shopping healthy on your next grocery haul!!


TIPS:


1. Plan ahead. Before you set out for the market, plan your meals for the week, and create a list to shop from. It takes a few minutes, but saves time in running back to the store for missing ingredients. It also helps you avoid those impulse buys we all sometimes fall victim to.


2. Skip the junk. Best way to not eat it, is to not buy it. Fill your cart with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, lean meat, fish, poultry, beans, and nuts.


3. Shop the perimeter. Stay outside of the lines. Shop the perimeter of the grocery store, where fresh foods like fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, and fish are usually located. Avoid the center aisles where the junk foods lurk.
